Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for researching and analyzing data to support statistical

analysis for the business. They implement methods to improve data reliability and quality.

They combine raw information from different sources to create consistent reporting. They

also develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for

predictive or prescriptive modelling.

The role:

● Work closely with internal stakeholders to collect and understand business requirements

then build, design and manage interpret solution either reporting or dashboard solutions

required.

● Design, develop, implement, support and maintain old and new data models, data

warehouses, cubes, ETL packages and core data infrastructure crucial to the needs of the

business.

● Retrieve, cleanse, validate and analyse data using different techniques in order to retain the

data integrity and availability.

● Work with stakeholders and management to identify and prioritise areas of opportunity and

communicate these insights to improve sales and customer experience.

● Use BI tools to work efficiently at scale.

We think you’ll fit in great with us if you have:

● Bachelor degree/ Diploma in any relevant field (e.g., Statistics, mathematics, computer

science or information technology).

● At least 5 years relevant working experience as Data Engineer/Business Intelligence.

● Highly proficient in composing, maintaining and optimising complex SQL queries.

● Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate

significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

● Strong knowledge of and experience on data management, structure, retrieval and ETL

processes (structured and unstructured data sources)

● Able to present information in a meaningful and structured manner (report and dashboard)

● Experience with different set of Pentaho tools either enterprise or community edition is a

huge plus.

● Familiarity with programming languages such as Shell, Python and its libraries

(i.e.,pandas)

● Experience with data lake architecture, data scaling and big data technologies

(i.e.,Hadoop/Hive, Spark) is a huge plus.

● Familiarity with machine learning concepts and application of its associated statistical

models is also be a huge plus.

● Self-motivated, loves working in a team and has a curiosity bordering OCD.

● Self-starter and has the tenacity to work with a lean team.
