Description
Currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Engineer with a background in Material/Metallurgy Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with customers by offering technical expertise and providing solutions that meet their unique requirements. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, driving customer engagement, and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory, focusing on the sale of steel products and solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their needs and providing technical recommendations.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions to educate customers on the benefits and features of company’s steel products.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering and application teams to provide comprehensive technical support to customers throughout the sales process.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, quotations, and contracts that align with customer requirements and company’s commercial objectives.
- Regularly engage with key stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and procurement professionals, to build trust and secure long-term partnerships.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to effectively position company’s products and differentiate them in the market.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide feedback on customer needs, market trends, and product enhancements to drive continuous improvement.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Material Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the steel manufacturing or mining industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of material science, metallurgical processes, and quality control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and build relationships.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to influence customer decisions.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing time and priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
