Chief of Accounting and Tax

As the Chief Accounting and Tax, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring precise tax reporting, effective tax planning, and overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations for our client, a global consumer goods company. You will lead a team of 10 accounting and tax staff, providing mentorship, training, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of experiences in tax and accounting within the Indonesian market.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Tax Strategy and Compliance:
   • Devise and execute tax strategies to ensure accurate tax reporting.
   • Liaise with tax consultants and government officials on tax matters including PPH21, PPH23, VAT.
   • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize costs through effective tax planning.
2. Financial Management:
   • Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and financial reporting processes.
   • Prepare and assess tax returns and reports, covering corporate income tax and sales tax.
3. Accounting Operations:
   • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
   • Provide solutions for outstanding payments, claims, and process bottlenecks.
4. Team Leadership:
   • Mentor, train, and develop a team of 10 accounting and tax staff.
   • Provide tax and accounting expertise to team members and stakeholders.
5. Audit Coordination:
   • Coordinate with auditors for audits and address findings promptly.
   • Review company processes for risks, fraud, and misconduct.
6. Reporting:
   • Prepare precise financial and business reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is necessary.
• Minimum 8 years of proven experience in tax management, financial reporting, and accounting leadership.
• Profound understanding of Indonesian tax laws, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the consumer goods industry or similar fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Advanced degree or certifications related to taxation or accounting.
• Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and driving efficiencies.
• Graduated from top 5 Indonesian universities
